Registration
We are now accepting registrations for the 2026–2027 school year for children born in 2022 and 2023. Children born between January and June 2024 may also be considered for admission starting in January 2027, depending on their developmental readiness and assessment results.
Spots will only be offered after our team has met with the child and parents/caregivers, and completed the interview & assessment process successfully.
We also accept registrations for our waiting list for future school years. Families on the waiting list will receive an invitation for a tour once registration opens for the year in which their child reaches the eligible starting age.
Please check
Events — Little People's Community Preschool to book a tour or contact us at schoolmanager@littlepeople.ca, if you have any specific questions.
Step 1: Pre-Register
Fill out our pre-registration form to provide us with preliminary information to ensure that your child can start playing and learning with us as quickly as possible! If you are registering multiple children, please submit one form for each child.
Step 2: Meet & Play
If your child fits within one of the age groups for our current or upcoming classes, we will contact you to arrange a visit. Our school tours are typically scheduled on Friday mornings or Tuesday evenings in order to minimize disruption to current students while allowing visiting families enough time to explore the school and ask questions.
The visit is a valuable opportunity to meet our teachers and staff, experience the learning environment, and gain a deeper understanding of our educational philosophy, daily routines, and welcoming community.
Step 3: Assessment & Enrollment Decision
After the tour, our teachers and staff team will hold a post-tour discussion to carefully review each child and family. Families which pass the assessment process will receive the invitations to enroll. Families can then decide whether they feel our program is the right fit for their child and discuss with us the most suitable starting date. An enrollment package will be sent afterward to complete the registration process.
In some cases, we may invite a child for a second visit if further observation is needed. In other cases, we may decline an application. If we are unable to offer a spot, it may be due to limited availability, because we feel a different program may currently be a better fit, or because it may not yet be the ideal time for the child to begin preschool.
We are always happy to stay connected with families who may wish to reconnect with our community in the future.
Step 4: Transition & Community Connection
For families who have accepted an offer but have not yet started the program, we will invite you to participate in school social events and other community activities. These opportunities help children and parents gradually become familiar with the environment, teachers, and future classmates, while also creating a foundation for friendships and connections among families within our community.
We strongly encourage new students who will begin the program in September to attend at least one week of Summer Camp in July or August, as it helps support a smoother and more confident transition into the school environment.
